Well did you guess the suprise?

Of course you did. Cheyanne was in foal. Trouble is that we were told she was due in March if she was pg.
March came and went and she had no foal. So we decided she was just fat.
April came and I was disgusted with my fear of riding issues so I took her to a neighbor's indoor ring. It took 2 hours for me to get enough nerve to get on her and another hour to get her calm enough to enjoy the ride.
I had parked along the road and took her out a back gate. Hubby came home to a garbled cell phone message from me about Dave. Well Dave owns and auto body business too. The next message was the police dept. wondering if I knew my car was along the road. Hubby thought I was in a wreck!
A friend brought her mare back and we headed to the ring again. When I was done riding, Cheyanne did some funny stretching movements and my friend said "Are you SURE she is not in foal?" Ohoh. Did a call to the former owners and they said the kids might have put her back in with the stallion. They did not keep very good records.
Holy cow.
Banjo was born 3 weeks later.
